Welcome to the February update! The padel landscape continues to grow and change, and we're moving with it. This month, we're introducing tools to better connect your club with the community, making Americano's more flexible than ever, and providing a sneak peek into the upcoming mobile updates. Read all about the new features below.
While previously the event host was often a permanent employee, we're seeing more and more enthusiastic players willing to take on this role. This offers enormous opportunities for venues to flexibly expand their capacity.
This month, we're introducing the Host Finder specifically for our affiliated clubs.
The Host Finder was developed to connect clubs with players from their own community who want to help. There's been a lot of interest: over 200 players have already volunteered as potential hosts through their profiles.
To make these new partnerships a success – and to guarantee the quality of the events – it's crucial to put the right person in the right position.
A successful event at your venue requires a clear division of labor. We recommend the following distinction:
Want to properly train new hosts? The Support page now has the "Primary Host Manual" and "Secondary Host Manual" available. Download them and share them with your team. Ready to expand your team? Go to a template in Templates, open the menu, and select "Host Finder."
The Americano is and remains one of the most popular game formats. From now on, we're making organizing it even easier and more transparent.
By popular demand, as an organizer, you're no longer limited to a field of participants divisible by four. Whether you have 9, 13, or 27 people: P2D instantly calculates a valid schedule for you.
This is the ideal lifesaver for company outings or parties where attendance is unpredictable. Someone cancels at the last minute? No problem, the software adjusts without you having to manually rearrange the schedule.
This flexibility is fantastic, but you can't force mathematics. If the numbers don't work out perfectly, players will inevitably have to wait a round, or a court might remain empty to ensure the fairness of the schedule.
To avoid any surprises, we've developed the Americano Audit Tool. This tool simulates in advance how "good" or "bad" a particular format will turn out. You'll immediately see the effect of a limited number of rounds or an uneven field on the fairness of your tournament.
Curious how a format scores?

Want players to see at a glance what's happening at your club, but don't want to deal with the technical hassle? In addition to our comprehensive API integration, we're now introducing an accessible alternative: the Events Page.
The Events Page is a ready-made page that specifically and exclusively displays all Padel2Day events at your location. No complicated code or integrations, just a simple URL that always works.
You can find the link directly by clicking the 'Events Page' button at the bottom of the Support page. Copy the URL, paste it on your website, and let the registrations roll in!
Behind the scenes, we're not sitting idle. We're working hard on further developing our platform and can already share what's on the roadmap: this year we'll be rolling out two major updates for the mobile app.
We're not launching a completely new app, but we are making significant progress. The first major release is scheduled for end of February. This will focus on improvements that increase usability for both players and organizers, based on your valuable feedback.
In the next update, we'll delve deeper and show you exactly what's changing in this first phase. Stay tuned!
Has this update made you eager to get started? Whether it's finding a new host, planning a flexible Americano, or setting up your Events Page: log in to P2D and add your next successful event to the calendar right away.
Good luck this month!
Together with our partners we take padel to the next level!
